Itinerary for the 2-day Kilimanjaro hike and Tarangire tour

The best day-by-day detailed itinerary for the 2 days Kilimanjaro and Tarangire national park tour: Day 1: Kilimanjaro Marangu gate to Mandara hut, 8-10 hrs; Day 2: Moshi to Tarangire

Day 1: Kilimanjaro Day Hike

Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut
Elevation: 915 meters, 3,000 feet
Hiking Time: 8-10 hours
Habitat: Rain Forest

Early in the morning you will be picked by professional mountain guides of Winners Expeditions from Moshi town to Marangu Gate for registrations and start your Kilimanjaro day hiking. Hike along a narrow trail through the rainforest of Kilimanjaro up to Mandara Hut. At Mandara Hut you will get lunch then you will continue hiking to Maundi Crater. Mound crater offers good views of East over Taveta and the North West of Mawenzi peak especially during the clear day. Get an opportunity to take photos before descending back to Marangu gate where you will be taken by our vehicles from Marangu gate back to Moshi town.

Day 2: Moshi to Tarangire National Park

Early in the morning you will deriven to Tarangire National Park where you will enjoy the views of termite mounds, ancient Baobab trees large number of elephants, lions, giraffes, warthogs, ostriches, impalas, cheetah, mongoose, buffaloes, and baboons. After full-day game drive, you will be derived back to Arusha or Moshi town for resting, enjoying meals and overnight, or to Kilimanjaro International Airport for flight back to your home country.
